I have recently installed a new Exchange 2003 Server within a new domain. It connects to our remote site (the main exchange 2003 server) via a 虚拟专用网络 tunnel. DNS and replication all looks fine, i can ping everything and all is resolved. When trying to send an email i traced it and the following is the log:
SMTP: Store Driver: Message Submitted from store
SMTP: Message submitted to advanced queuing
SMTP: Started Message Submission to Advanced queue
SMTP: Message submitted to categorizer
SMTP:Message categorized and queued for routing
SMTP:Message-routed and queued for remote delivery
SMTP:Started Outbound transfer of message
Message transferred to ***200******************************************************
This was an email i sent within the forest global address list.
Outgoing e-mail to other internal servers that are running Microsoft Exchange is queued and retried in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
When highlighting the queue in Exchange System Manager, I receive the following error message in the Additional queue information area: Semaphore timeout period has expired.

192.168.101.231 – Exchange 2003 enterprise sp2 , Exchange organization : Bigorg , host name : futian2 , fqdn : futian2.futian.local
192.168.101.231 – Exchange 2003 is a smtp connector's bridgehead for other exchange server.
